"Medyk" Pharmaceutical Wholesale Company, Maria Strzelecka, with its registered office in Tychy, was established on July 10, 1994 on the basis of an entry in the business activity register, as a company trading in medical apparatus and equipment.
Initially, the company was distributing small disposable medical equipment. However, with the increase of competition on the market of medical apparatus and equipment, "Medyk" company was gradually extending its products' range by establishing new trading contacts with producers and other distributors of medical equipment. The company also started dealing in wearable equipment used by dialysis centres.
With the intention of strengthening our position, the owner of the company decided to establish additional departments: the Accountancy and Human Resources Department (until the end of 2001 both the accounting and personnel matters were conducted by an accounting company hired for that purpose) as well as the Public Procurement Department. What is more, in order to strengthen the company's market position, the owner decided to employ new personnel to the Sales Department as well as to implement organizational changes in this department. As a result of the increase of sale and expansion of our products' range it was necessary to rent additional warehouse space.
Due to fierce competition it is essential that the company remains focused on the buyer and reacts flexibly to external signals, that is why the company's owner undertook actions aiming at registering the company as a pharmaceutical wholesaler thanks to which the offer could also include licensed goods. The licence to operate as a pharmaceutical wholesale company was granted in February 2004 by the Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate.
Another significant decision for the company regarded making attempts to prepare and implement the Quality Management System in compliance with PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 and obtaining the certificate.
